ABL Islamic Money Market Fund (ABL-IMMF) operates under a low-risk profile, aiming to provide competitive Shariah-compliant returns through a highly liquid, short-duration portfolio of bank deposits and money market instruments. Reflecting strong and growing investor confidence, the Fund's Assets Under Management (AUM) expanded significantly to PKR 52,358 million as of Jun'26, up from PKR 41,956 million in Dec'25.
In terms of asset allocation, the portfolio is heavily cash-focused: 87% in cash, 6% in Government Guaranteed instruments, 5% in short-term Sukuks, and 2% in other eligible instruments. Credit quality is heavily weighted toward AA+ rated exposures (86%), along with 6% in Government/AAA, 5% in A1, 1% in A+, and 2% unrated.
The Fund maintains a Weighted Average Maturity (WAM) of 25 days, protecting unit holders by enabling rapid portfolio repricing during monetary policy changes. While top 10 investor concentration (~41%) introduces moderate redemption risk, high liquidity ensures swift, orderly redemptions.
In performance, ABL-IMMF achieved an impressive one-year return of 10.34% as of Jun'26, outperforming its 9.37% benchmark by 97 bps and 9.98% peer average by 36 bps. However, because upper-end credit quality falls short of criteria thresholds, the Fund remains on Rating Watch pending portfolio rebalancing. Going forward, any material changes in the investment policy and/or compliance with the rating criteria for the assigned rating would have an impact on the rating.
